Large Array Antennas

These are large high gain antennas which are big arrays of smaller antennas. Because of their size and wind load, use a sturdy mount and strong mast with these antennas if installed outdoors.

Large Array Options:

• Antennacraft Super G1483 "Stacked Hoverman"
   - optimized for UHF band
   - no reflector screen = low F/B ratio
   - receives signals from both sides
   - available from Summit Source

Large antennas tend to be directional. If you want to pull in weak stations from opposite directions, you can use a rotor to turn the antenna towards the broadcast tower of choice.

Multi-directional antennas like the DB8e and HDB8X have sections that can be aimed in different directions, thereby negating the need for a rotor.
